Enjoying Better Restaurants

When I started thinking more seriously about traveling full time for work, I knew that zeroing in on the best restaurants would probably make my experience a lot better. I started reading more and more restaurant reviews and checking out articles from restaurant critics talking about how to find great places to eat. It really made a big difference, to the point of me being able to gain a little weight on the road. Check out this blog to find out how to find great restaurants and enjoy better food. You never know, it could make your next date or business trip a lot better.

How To Pick A Caterer And Enjoy Every Moment Of It

Picking a caterer for your wedding may seem like yet another tedious task on your long list of things to do to get ready for your nuptials. However, you can pick a caterer and enjoy every minute of it. Here is how.

1. Taste the Food!

You cannot pick what you want to serve everyone simply based on a menu. How some caterers prepare a dish may be quite different than what you think it should taste like. Picking an event caterer is a lot like picking your cake bakery; you taste as much as you can! Set up appointments with a handful of caterers on a couple of days in the same week. Ask each one to prepare dishes from their menus that you are personally considering for your wedding. Then spend time tasting everything to see if it tastes the way you expect.

2. Ask Questions While You Are Tasting

If you like a certain dish, but you know that half your family is allergic to an ingredient, ask the caterer if they is willing to customize the dish. If the ingredient is not a major flavor enhancer, then most caterers are willing to accommodate this request to make sure all of your guests have an enjoyable dining experience. Take notes on the questions you ask and the answers given, as well as notes on any dishes you really liked. The questions and notes will help you decide later who the best caterer is for the job.

3. Take Your Fiance(e) with You

Your future spouse has different food preferences too. Ask them to come with you to every food tasting and catering meeting. He or she should take part in choosing what to eat, since only they know what their family likes to eat at special events. If you both sample the food, and each make a choice for a main dish and sides, then you are sure to select food that everyone will enjoy at the reception.

4. If Your Fiance(e) Is Unavailable, Take the Bridal Party

If you cannot convince your future spouse to accompany you to a food tasting, take some bridesmaids or groomsmen with. They will enjoy sampling the food and looking forward to the delicious eats. You could even make a night of it and go out on the town after the meeting and food sampling with the caterer, since you have essentially already had dinner!
